Our Essex based Installation Team has recently added another four Portable Modular Buildings onto ISG Constructions’ Golden Lane site in London. Due to limited space on the development site and the units having to be positioned above an electricity sub-station, this was not quite as straight forward as many of our usual installations. Whilst a challenge, AVDanzer rose to the task, and successfully installed the four linked 20’x8’ portable modular units nine metres above the ground on a steel gantry over the sub-station. These four units are being used as additional office facilities by ISG’s onsite sub-contractors.
AVDanzer has a long and successfully relationship with ISG Construction, we supplied the original ten portable modular buildings that ISG had already been using at Golden Lane since last year. The ten open space buildings were manufactured by us, back in 2014 for a construction project that ISG were working on in St Johns Wood, London. When this work completed in 2017 we relocated the ten units, on ISG’s behalf, to a new development site at the O2 in Greenwich, London. These ten units have proved to be very adaptable, as following a re-configuration and further relocation, they are now on this Golden Lane development being used as the main project office and welfare facility for ISG’s personnel.
Our units will be on-site throughout the duration of this project by ISG Construction and The City of London Corporation, who are developing the site of the former Richard Cloudesley School on Golden Lane. A new 420 pupil school, 38 pupil nursery, 66 social rent houses for tenants from the City of London and the London Borough of Islington will be built along with workspace accommodation. The area will then be finished with high quality landscaping and greenery. It is anticipated that the school will be completed in late 2020 and the residential properties in early 2022.
