The AVDanzer production team at Langley Mill is working at maximum speed to turn around one of our biggest ever OpenSpace orders.

AVDanzer has been commissioned by charitable housing association L&Q to deliver a 60-module complex which will provide welfare facilities over three floors for more than 500 site workers at Barking Riverside. The project is worth in excess of £1m.

L&Q is building 10,800 homes on this superb East London site and the accommodation units will provide project offices as well drying rooms, induction rooms, kitchens, canteen, first aid room, meeting rooms, showers and a multi-faith prayer room.

The triple stacked layout will be configured around a central courtyard and a viewing platform will be included to give open views right across the site. The levels will be linked by external staircases and the complex will provide 1,890 sq m of accommodation space. Site security is enhanced with turnstile access points.
The units are in production and will be delivered to site early September.

The L&Q Group houses around 250,000 people in more than 95,000 homes, primarily across London and the South East. Located along the banks of the River Thames and covering 443 acres, Barking Riverside will include 10,800 new homes. There is also provision for 65,000 square metres of commercial floor space for shopping, restaurants, cafés, community and leisure facilities, healthcare and schools.

The project is supported by the Mayor of London and there are plans for large open spaces, public squares and a new rail station with bus and river transport interchange providing enhanced links to central London.
