Bowmer and Kirkland have been appointed as the main contractor at the 4 Angel Square speculative office scheme at NOMA Manchester. NOMA is a mixed-use quarter within Manchester city centre, comprising 20 acres of new homes, offices, hotels, shops and restaurants.
4 Angel Square is due to be completed in early 2023, when it will offer 200,000 square foot of office accommodation over 11 floors and will operate as a net zero carbon building.
AVDanzer’s northern hire depot prepared and installed the 21 portable modular buildings which will give welfare and office facilities to Bowmer and Kirkland personnel during the 2 years of this build. The 32’x10’ modules are stacked 3 high, with external staircases giving access to the upper two floors. An open plan canteen takes up more than half of the ground floor – the remainder being a drying room, toilet and shower facilities. The first and second floors accommodate Bowmer and Kirkland personnel in airy, open plan offices with kitchen and toilet facilities located on each level.
