When hired OpenSpace can be used in combination with standard hire fleet units, making installing of a project of scale much faster, and far more economic than might at first seem.

SOVEREIGN COURT

The only solution was to utilise one of the site tower cranes to lift the units into place. However, as the crane was located over 55 meters away from where the complex was to be located, the capacity of the crane at this extended reach was limited to little over 2 tonne.

ST ANDREWS PRIMARY

We are delighted with the new shower and changing room facility we have provided for St. Andrews Primary School in Cobham. The school approached AVDanzer to design a stand-alone facility which could sit adjacent to its swimming pool which is located at the side of the playing fields. We suggested a highly cost-effective solution using our OpenSpace product which could also be delivered quickly to meet their tight time frame.The children had previously had to change in the school building before walking across the playground to join their swimming lesson.

ELLERSLIE RETIREMENT VILLAGE

In another great project for Wates Construction AV Group has been commissioned to provide on-site contractor accommodation during the construction of a magnificent new retirement village in Worcester.We have installed eighteen 9.7m x 3m OpenSpace modules which will provide canteen, relaxation areas, toilets, washrooms and changing facilities for the extensive team of contractors and sub-contractors. Our OpenSpace product was specified yet again by Wates because it is specifically designed to provide fast, efficient, open plan spaces which can be on site and operational within just days of ordering.

BROOKLANDS SAND

AVDanzer has recently installed new office accommodation for Brooklands at its Littlejohns pit in St Austell, Cornwall. Dubbed Cornwall’s White Mountains because the of china clay production, the St Austell quarry is on one of the highest points in Cornwall and is exposed to high winds which made this project quite a challenging installation. We built four 12x3m modules at our Langley Mill site which together creates a 24x6m office facility to house the weighbridge operatives.We had to plan the delivery and installation some three weeks in advance because it was necessary to block the site access to lift the new buildings into place

NORTHERN HUB

In 2015 AVDanzer was commissioned to provide the on-site welfare and office accommodation facilities for Network Rail’s prestigious Northern Hub project in a contract worth over £700,000. After the Government finally gave the green light for the Northern Hub project to continue we were able to release the remaining modules and have this month installed them at Ashburys in East Manchester. The units are end and side linked and sited in a double stack of 13 ground floor units and 13 first floor and will provide office facilities for the construction teams.

IRON MOUNTAIN

Manufactured by AVDanzer Limited at our Langley Mill site in Nottingham, the three 3m x 9.6m steel modules create the storage vault which is linked to the main Iron Mountain depot. 95% of the fit-out was completed at Langley Mill in order to allow rapid installation at Damastown. Consequently, the units were pre-installed with insulated wall and ceiling panels, mobile shelving, fire alarms, a pressure relief system, security system and air conditioning.

WILBURN ST BASIN

Phases one and two of a 500 unit residential scheme. Renaker Build is a rapidly growing Manchester based developer and they have chosen once again to invest in our quality welfare units to showcase their growing stature in the market place. We are also working with Renaker Build on the 1 Water Street scheme off Regent Road in Manchester, a 28-storey residential building with 301 apartments. We’re supporting the team with 12 Open Space units to provide site accommodation and office space for staff and contractors at its Mackintosh Mills development on Cambridge Street near Manchester’s Oxford Road Station.

NORTHERN HUB

Our production team at Langley Mill worked at full speed to build the 52 steel Open Space units which are used on two sites at Ashburys and at Bolton. The units are end-linked and sited in a double stack of 13 ground floor units and 13 first floor and will provide office facilities for Skanska/BAM.

LEWISHAM YOUTH CENTRE

This new building comprises eight 24’ x 8’ steel anti-vandal units, with toilet facilities, disabled toilets, UPVC windows with added security grills, kitchen and storage areas. We delivered a full turnkey service including ground works, organising utility connections, commissioning and fit out to create a bright, safe modern space for young people to meet and participate in activities together.

SOMERSET FRUIT PROCESSING

We completed this fantastic new modular building which provides changing facilities for a fruit processing site in Somerset. Built by the team at our Langley Mill plant it comprises 7 x 12m x 3m Open Space modules and provides a highly specified replacement changing facility for staff. The building, which is profiled steel, is designed and specified to ensure staff to adhere to the highest possible level of hygiene. It features stainless steel urinals, wash basins, WCs, automatic, touch-free taps, Dyson Air-blade hand dryers, diffusers to lighting, double sided benching and lockers.

OFFICES IN DENTON

This is a 9 module building totalling 263m2, and cost £95,000 in total. It has large aluminium framed double glazed windows with vinyl faced plasterboard linings throughout. In the style of our hugely popular and innovative HighLine buildings we have increased ceiling heights adding to the spaciousness and airiness of the environment. We upgraded insulation all around including under the floors, and added sound reducing insulation to all partitioning.

AINTREE HOSPITAL

This new building would need to connect with an existing building at height to provide access to the second floor. However the floor levels did not meet requiring a “filler” level, in the new building, something other manufacturers were unable to provide. AVDanzer provided the building using its Steel OpenSpace product with 15no 9.6 x 3m modules over 2 floors and an intermediate filler level. The building also included an enclosed staircase and a canopy walkway across part of the front and the side elevation to enable access to the existing building at ground floor level.
