BAM Construction Salford Royal Hospital

BAM Construction are about to commence the building of their latest prestigious project in the north west. AVDanzer’s hire depot in Manchester has supplied the portable modular accommodation for their personnel to use, whilst on site at Salford Royal Hospital. BAM have been awarded the contract, by Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, to build a new hospital to support its role as the major trauma centre for Greater Manchester. This new facility, which is due to be completed in summer 2023, will enable the hospital to treat an additional 400 trauma patients each year.

The two storey complex consists of a total of 18 units, all finished in BAM’s distinctive green with an orange band around the base and topped off with a viewing platform. The ground floor units comprise toilets, showers, drying room, induction room and an open plan canteen. On the first floor there is a subcontractor’s office, first aid room, meeting rooms, a kitchen, toilets and a spacious open plan office area. In addition, we have installed emergency lighting and fire and intruder alarms to the main complex as well as supplying a smoking booth and gatehouse to complete BAM’s on-site accommodation.

The complex has been designed and prepared by the Operations Team at our northern hire depot in Manchester and installed by our own Site Installation Team and haulage contractor.
