Our latest hire project is once again with Wates Construction who are building the new £5.5m Fire Station at Prescot on Merseyside.

Wates Prescot Fire Station Welfare Accommodation

AVDanzer have manufactured 12 brand new units which will provide the site welfare accommodate for the Wates team during the build phase.

The units have been stacked and linked with an external staircase and have been configured to provide meeting room space, canteen, changing facilities, toilets and showers. They have been spray painted in Wates’ corporate livery and will remain on site during the development phase.

The new fire station, which is being delivered by Merseyside Fire & Rescue Authority, Merseyside Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner and Knowsley MBC, is set to open in February 2018. When it is fully operational it will accommodate both police and fire service staff.

It is being created with the aim of meeting cuts in government funding while maintaining services for the areas. The site was chosen as the best emergency response location cover surrounding areas. Fire stations in Whiston and Huyton will close when the new station is in operation.

Wates was appointed to build the Prescot Community Fire and Police Station via the North West Construction Hub.
