AVDanzer was established in 1986 by John Y Holloway.
AVDanzer started in a small way, simply as a hire company based in Cheadle, Stockport. With over 50 years experience in the modular and portable building field John was never going to be satisfied with a small regional hire business and in 1995 AV Group opened its first manufacturing plant in Manchester and expanded to include the sale of modular buildings as well as its growing hire fleet.
Today, AVDanzer also manufactures bespoke steel anti-vandal units and modular buildings from its extensive facility at Langley Mill, Nottingham.

The hire fleet has continued to expand and has over 4000 items across its 3 main depots. Specialising in larger projects where units are stacked up to 3 high and often linked AVDanzer has concentrated its efforts on renewing and expanding its fleet whilst ensuring its Health and Safety procedures are second to none.

What is Modular Construction?
In a nutshell – portable buildings that are manufactured in a plant then delivered in sections to a designated location, where they are assembled to specification.
These units are usually constructed indoors where environmental factors, such as the weather, are not allowed to disrupt the construction timeline. This is a significant advantage compared to more traditional methods of on-site building.
Modular buildings are more often cheaper than on-site construction due to being built in a controlled environment. They are also eco-friendly, not only as less material is being is used to create the finished infrastructures, but also because they often make use of recycled materials. This greatly reduces waste and benefits the environment.
Often traditional construction involves less recycled materials being used. This is because of the lack of ease of incorporating old buildings into new constructions. Thus, a lot of the construction materials end up in landfill sites.
As the products are built in a controlled environment, modular buildings often have high efficiency standards due to refined repeated processes that minimises waste. Therefore, modular buildings come recommended when sustainability in the construction industry is much needed. Air pollution is also greatly reduced. Less harmful pollutants are released into the environment due to being contained indoors. The immediate vicinity to where a building would be traditional constructed, environmentally speaking, is therefore much improved.
Modular construction allows for many different parts of a building to be built simultaneously, quickening the construction process and allowing for speedier scheduling. This shortens the time a construction project is completed. The time it takes for projects to be finished are also reduced as constructing buildings outside are affected by bad weather. Bad weather can hamper the construction time which is not good news for a potential customer who has to wait longer for a project to be completed, which may involve extra costs for both parties. There can also be other unforeseen problems with building in an environment that may be out of the construction companies control.
Unlike conventional construction, a modular building can be moved to a different location with relative ease. This cannot be done with standard buildings as they cannot be separated into different pieces then put back together again in another location. This allows the buildings to be recycled as they can be dismantled and relocated with ease, lowering any potential environmental impact they might have.
Structurally, modular buildings tend to be stronger than established construction buildings because each is built independently to resist the difficulties of transportation and craning onto foundations. Once assembled together and sealed, the building becomes interconnected and strengthened.
